You may have spotted that A lazy Girl Goes Green had a modest makeover this weekend, to include a new logo and some chirpy looking illustrations.
I’d never really intended to brand my blog at all – after all, I’d started it 6 months ago as a personal site to document (and keep on track of) my journey towards sustainable living. I never imagined many people would come across it, so who really cares what it looks like?
But then all you lovely people joined me, and despite being scatty, if someone comes to house I like it to be tidy. So I’ve tidied up my green house to welcome you all, hope you like it!
I enlisted the help of a very talented friend and artist, Emma Morgan, to draw me some doodles which represented my favorite things in nature. After all, that is the root of my passions and the will to protect it inspired this blog in the first place!
I then, very amateurly (but in Lazy Girl style) added her beautiful doodles into a logo to head up my blog. You can also see the illustrations dotted around on pages and sidebars too.
But there was one very special little lady Emma also created for me. Almost a symbol of the Lazy Girl ethos; it’s a representation of a girl laid back relaxing on a hammock, daydreaming about nature. She is almost completely in green and her faceless outline almost has a mystery surrounding her. She could be any one of us.
I’m unsure where to place this little lady as she didn’t quite work within the banner. I’d love your thoughts on where we can place her on A Lazy Girl Goes Green. Somewhere where we can all look to her every now and then, as a reminder to lie back, relax and dream.
I would use her as a picture header for one of your categories, possibly Green Health, as being relaxed is a prerequisite for healthy living.

Good thinking!I certainly agree a healthy body is inspired by a healthy mind 🙂

What a lovely little makeover. I think our green lady should do in the bottom left of your header?

I love the picture of the lass in the green hammock. It’s like a cross between Pippi Longstockings and Swallows & Amazons (does that age me?). How about replacing the leaf in the topic righthand with this picture. It really deserves to be seen!
Funny you’re asking questions about the slight makeover. I’m actually doing the same about mine! Like you, thoughts of a makeover were prompted by a blogging anniversary.

Great thinking, i had thought that earlier; so I think two votes in enough to make it decided 🙂 Happy blog anniversary to you, look forward to seeing what you do next! x
